[Haunts] SCarowinds Announces New Scare Zone, Psycho Circus, for 2016!

Well, at least one announcement out of Carowinds for this year's SCarowinds Halloween Haunt has been unveiled in the form of the new scare zone coming to 2016. It's not overly surprising that they've brought the madness of the circus out of the darkness for this year, as they haven't had one for a few years now.

Usually I'm not one for the theme, but it does work well in a scare zone and some of the other Cedar Properties out there have done a nice job with similar ones in the past. I mean, clowns, sideshow performers, freaks of all sizes, it has it's charm at times.

With that in mind, let's see what the folks behind SCarowinds have in store with this one...

From the looks of that, things aren't going well for late night employees wandering the midway at Carowinds, not at all. Gotta love how they're having a bit of fun with the them here though, but what about the actual experience? Well, the site gives a little rundown of what one can expect...
"Ladies and Gents, gather around. There's a new type of fear that's here to be found.
Watch carefully and be alert, because you never know when we might go berserk.

See black magic and evil clowns. You'll dread when our circus comes to your town.
Bring a friend and hold their hand, because we're the scariest things in all the land.

Don't worry if you're a little scared. Women and children, none will be spared.
Now sit back and prepare to laugh, because if you don't we'll just cut you in half.

Treat yourself to a festival of fear; all of your worst nightmares are waiting here.
Come curious but leave afraid. The world of darkness will be fully displayed.

Come on over and don't be shy. The E. Baily Psycho Circus is a treat for every eye."

Okay, at least they're having fun with the backstory and this also features on of the Skeleton Key rooms for 2016 as well. I'm still not 100% sure on the scare zone key rooms, but so far the ones we've experienced have been alright, with a couple of great ones at other parks. Going to have to keep an eye on this to see how it plays out with everyone.

This year's SCarowinds still has a new maze to announce, so I'll be keeping my eye out for that one as well as working on a rundown of everything that's coming back which should be out soon.

Until next time, pleasant nightmares!
