[Japan]/Biohazard Invades Universal Studios Japan

Well, with the upcoming release of Resident Evil: Revelations to the Wii U, PS3 and Xbox 360, the folks at CAPCOM aren't one to miss a beat for the chance to market their newest entry into the Resident Evil franchise. This time they're going interactive with an experience that pretty much guarantees that no one has any chance of surviving...

Biohazard: The Real will open this July at Universal Studios Japan (USJ) and those brave enough to accept the challenge will be faced with shooting the "real" zombies as they attack them throughout the attraction. With a combination of movie level special effects, sounds and lighting the attraction promises to make the atmosphere as genuine as possible. All of the zombies and other creatures are being designed to look as real as possible and include a 2m (6ft) tall Tyrant.

Overall the attraction is said to last for 5-10minutes and has been designed to be as difficult as possible. They've even gone as far as to advertise that participants will have "zero" chance of survival due to the ever increasing difficulty of the virus spreading and limited ammo.

In addition to this they'll be adding a good bit of Resident Evil merch to the park; Umbrella ID tags, T-Virus test tube stylus' and a S.T.A.R.S. cocktail along with brain pasta.

Overall, this seems like a really cool addition, even if it's a limited time kind of thing, that they're adding to the park. It's nice to see that both CAPCOM and Universal see the appeal of not only movies, but the games that inspire them at times. Now...to get to Japan to experience this before it's gone!

If anyone out there does happen to check this out, let me know us know what you thought of it!
