[Anime] The Wind Rises Western Release Dates and TV Spots Released!

Hayao Miyazaki's last film with Studio Ghibli is nominated for an Academy Award, but it was only shown outside of Japan in a couple of US theaters back in November. However, that's all changing now. Not only have the dates for the US theatrical release been announced, but also the dates for the UK and Australia.

First up is a round of limited screenings that start on Feb 21st, followed by a wider release on the 28th in North America. If you're not wanting to wait, here's a list of the theaters that will be showing it early:

Kendall Square Cinema in Boston
Century Centre Cinema in Chicago
The Landmark in Los Angeles
Lagoon Cinema in Minneapolis
Sunshine Cinema in New York
Hillcrest Cinemas in San Diego
Embarcadero Center Cinema and California Theatre in San Francisco
Tivoli Theatre in St. Louis
Bethesda Row Cinema in Washington D.C.
El Capitan Theater in Los Angeles on February 21
Frank G. Wells Screening Room in Burbank, California on February 12.

For those of you out there in the UK or Australia, you'll get on May 9th and February 27th, respectively.
