[Haunts] Can You Escape The Purge: Breakout?

Universal and Blumhouse are teaming up to bring an all new interactive experience based on The Purge film series that much closer to the fans. In what they call an "immersive escape experience" with The Purge: Breakout.

This traveling show isn't exactly a haunted house, though there will be plenty of scares. It's more of a puzzle and clue solving experience that your group will have to figure out in order to survive during your escape.

According to the site's own FAQ about the event, it looks like they're channeling some of the crazy escape experiences that you find in Japan with Fuji-Q Highland's "Ultimate Fort" and other such attractions. Though, nowhere near in the scale of them, at least from what I can tell. Either way, "In order to successfully proceed through the experience, your group must work together to solve clues and puzzles, unlock mysteries, and confront a variety of physical and mental challenges to escape before Purge Night begins."

Even more interesting than that? The entire event is contained within four semi trailers that will be moving from site to site. Definitely a unique way of going about things, but they should be large enough to accommodate folks trying to their best to get out of the madness within them.

Oh yeah, and you only have about 30 minutes to accomplish the task before you as well. Though, how long it really takes is up to the group that you're with. Up to 6 people will make up a group so if you want a "private experience" better grab all the tickets for that time slot, otherwise if you only have 3 or 4 in a group, it's likely you'll be paired with total strangers. Of course, that can make things even more fun too.

The Purge: Breakout will be coming to the following cities on the dates listed to the left there and tickets run $20 a person.

Overall this definitely sounds like an interesting and strange event, but one that fans of the series will probably love. Not to mention, pretty good timing with The Purge: Anarchy set to hit theaters this fall as well. It also looks like +Carrie H.C. will be around the Philadelphia area when this takes place, so maybe we'll get a hands on look at things too!
