Kings Dominion is getting ready to start work on construction and other preparations for this year's Halloween Haunt. Good thing too as they're less than two months from opening night. Just last night they sent a message out on their Facebook page stating that fans of the park should get their last ride in on Dodgems. Why? Haunt construction will be starting up and this Sunday (as in tomorrow, August 3rd) is the last day to enjoy the ride.Though, the more interesting bit is that they unveiled just what house was going into the location for this year.
Yep, that's right, an old favorite is returning for 2014's Halloween Haunt and by the sounds of things, it might not be the only one. Regardless, Maze of Madness will be replacing Medieval Macabre, which had been in the park from 2009-2013 and definitely was time to go as it was one of the older attractions at the event.
Also, the dates for this year's event have been listed as well. Opening night is September 26th and will run every Friday, Saturday and Sunday and ending on Saturday, November 2nd. Yes, that means they'll be open on Halloween night as well! Friday and Saturday nights Halloween Haunt will be open from 7pm-Midnight, Sunday nights from 7pm-10pm. Keep in mind that on Friday the 10th and Saturday and Sundays the park will be open all day too
Not much else is known about this year's event or just how many other mazes and scarezones will be changing, but keep it here because as soon as we know, you'll know! I don't know if we'll get to this year's event for Haunt Tour 2014, but if we do, definitely would mind as it's been a couple of years since our last visit for a review. Will have to see how that plays out.
