Well, this is interesting. Seems that another new haunt is opening up in the Tampa area for 2015, but this one's a little different. Instead of just one haunt experience, Scream-A-Geddon is promising to have 6 attractions plus a midway ready go to...in a month. That's a pretty all order, but it seems as if things are going according to schedule. Well, at least as far as they're saying anyway as their official site only links to their Facebook page.
Though, according to the folks over at Dreaded Dominions, there does seem to be quite a lot of activity going on at the site just outside of Dade City, FL. Here's a couple of shots from a little field trip they took down to see what was going on. A couple pole barns, trailers, and a lot of mud...
As you probably expected, not much really can be seen from these shots. However, looks like there's a lot of work to go yet before the September 1st opening date that they've announced for the attraction. I wouldn't be surprised if a couple of things didn't get done, but that's cool as well. The weather has turned into it's own horror movie of sorts in that area recently, so there is that. Though, even with that, some could open a little later in the season as well. Regardless, something definitely is happening on the site and should be interesting to see what it ends up looking like.
Either way, Scream-A-Geddon opens up on September 1st and runs select nights all the way through til November 1st. That's a lot of nights there folks, so plenty of time to check this one out if you're burned out some on the bigger theme park offerings in the area.
