Well, everyone now knows just what the WiiU is and when it will be out (Nov 18th in North America, Nov 30th in Europe and Australia and Dec 8th in Japan...just in case). That said, the announcement was this past Thursday and already sales have been completely insane.
So far we've managed to find out that pretty much everywhere is sold out on the pre-orders. Which, isn't all that surprising but the fact that everywhere was sold out of them within about 48 hours is. Here's the break down of what we've been able to uncover about the status of the systems as of today, Sunday the 16th.
Gamestop: Sold Out
Best Buy: Sold Out
Amazon: Sold Out
Walmart: Bundles only starting at $399 or $449 (but seem to ship on 12/31/12)
Kmart: Sold Out
Target: Sold Out
Toys R Us: Sold Out (some have been able to get a few in store, but not online)
So there ya have it, I'm sure they'll have some in stores but I'm going to guess they'll be pretty limited and by Black Friday they'll be all but completely gone given the rate that things are going. Either way, you'll probably see a few new updates to either this post or entirely new posts as more info comes about regarding what is going to be one of the sought after gifts of the holiday season this year.
