[Haunt Tour 2013] Why Can't it be October All Year?

Well, this past weekend we closed out HT2013 with a return visit to Castle Blood in Monessen, PA. Have to say, that it's actually made me think about upgrading our rating of them (still might just happen here too), they were really on top of things and that was the last night of their Halloween operations.

Definitely a great way to go out for sure, not only for us, but a truly great and unique haunt!

Over the past 6 weeks +Carrie H.C. and I have been to a number of haunts all over the US. While most of them have been around the Pittsburgh/Ohio area we still managed to get as far as Orlando and Tampa for the big events down there as well! All the reviews from this year and last year under the Haunt Review tab (or you can just click here).

We've driven over 4,000 miles and visited 5 states to hit them all up in the process. While we fell short of the 40 that we wanted to hit (by a good bit at that...oops), we'll just have to do to better next time around and hope that our bodies don't try to kill us and the weather cooperates a bit more than it did this year. It really does make us wish the season was longer or all year round so we could see all of the amazing attractions and events out there.

In the end though, every Haunted Attraction that we visited this year surprised us and some left us wanting more after we'd seen them. So many were so good in what they do that it's hard to try and narrow down "winners". Every show is different and there are so many ways to celebrate the Halloween and Haunting spirit that it's just not that easy to do. That said, we are going to be looking over the places we did visit and try to sort out the madness for our 2013 awards. I'm not sure when we'll have the results, but I'm going to guess sometime either today or tomorrow most likely.

For now? I'd like to say thank you to all of the haunts that had us out this year. We had a blast seeing all of the insane creativity and nightmare fuel you all came up with. It was truly an honor and pleasure to meet some of the creative minds behind these wondrous shrines to all things Halloween. For those we couldn't make it out to for various reasons? We'll definitely be coming next year, so be ready!

Stay tuned for the results and more coming soon and as always, keep it here or follow along with us on Twitter @KitsuneHazard and on Google+ for all the latest updates, news from haunts, conventions, anime and more!
