[Haunt Tour] Behind the Scenes - 776 Miles Down

Wow, only two weekends in and we've already been to quite a few amazing haunts. Not that I really expected that to be a surprise to be honest. Last year, the three we've been to at this point, accounted for a ton of awards from us, so we expected a good show. Also, a quick apology, I had wanted to get this out sooner but have been in a bit of pain so I didn't much feel like writing anything at all.

We see a lot of this, glamorous isn't it?
The road is long and we see more of the PA turnpike than we'd like during it too. That said, the two haunts we did visit this past weekend did get handicapped a bit by us visiting so early in the year, but they showed why they were tops last year. It's no question that all three of the shows we've seen so far really just that good.

The competition for awards is going to be really tough to sort through this year, I can already tell and we're only two weekends into things!

You can read all about our adventures though in the reviews for Terror Behind the Walls and Dorney Park's Halloween Haunt once their up. I should have them done today/tonight, so keep an eye out! Still have video to edit and some awesome behind the scenes looks to get up onto YouTube as well, tons of killer stuff to come.

We can all live, Carrie has her spice!
That said, we are nearly 800 miles into things at this point and the weekend was definitely rough. Not a lot of sleep and trying to flip things around for work this week has been a bit of a challenge.

Life on the road is also weird, that much time in the car leads some weird conversations and the desire for pumpkin spice coffee amongst other things go through the roof. Sometimes I really gotta question our diet, but as long as Carrie gets the spice, we're all good!

Overall though, things are working out alright, but I seem to have tweaked my back somewhere between getting home and writing this. Yes, it's painful, but I'll get through it. Just means that some of the stuff I've wanted to do have been a bit delayed.

We're still ironing out all the details for Weekend 3 of Haunt Tour 2015, but it does feature two massive attractions. No clue how we're gonna recover from that one, and keeping an eye on the weather, but at least the weekend beyond that is a bit more local. Two big weekends of travel back to back is going to be enough for a bit.

In other news, the very first actual review for the Haunt Tour podcast is live! That's covering the first stop of this year's tour, Hundred Acres Manor. Seems so long ago already, kind of crazy. So, I haven't actually listened to it yet, but I'm sure it's pretty good and you should definitely check it out as we touch on a few things that didn't make it into the review. Can either hit up the HAM review or head to thehaunttour.com for that and more!

We added a way for you to get updated on the latest episodes too, it's on the right side of the site here. The big yellow button under the Haunted Attractions Podcast logo. So, if you wanna keep in the loop, there's the way to do it!

For now, going to rest up a bit before finishing off the short week here and getting back on the road. Keep an eye out for the upcoming podcast episodes for both Dorney Park's Halloween Haunt and Terror Behind the Walls, as well as the quick cut reviews and the Weekend 3 preview! Whew, lots to get done in just a couple of days!

Pleasant nightmares!
