[Haunts] The House of Shock Resurrection Tears into 2015 with Bordello of Freaks and Laff in the Dark 3D!

Things looked rather bleak this year for the minds behind, and fans, of New Orleans based House of Shock. Last year was supposed to be their final goodbye, and after a rather lackluster Kickstarter campaign earlier this year, it looked like it was done for good. However...it's hard to keep evil down and the House of Shock returns for 2015!

This year the over the top attraction will boast not just the entirely new House of Shock, but also two more all new experiences for the 2015 season. Definitely sounding like they're upping their game, but what demon worth its salt wouldn't come back from the depths without a little extra right?

“We’re beyond excited about The Resurrection, as there was strong chance that The House of Shock was dead for good. The love and support we received from the community is both humbling and inspiring,” notes Co-Founder Ross Karpelman. “We can’t wait for New Orleans to experience The Resurrection; we’re going big. Fans should prep themselves for a major coronary failure! ”

Let's get to it, we all know that whatever form this year's main experience takes is going to be completely off the rails insanity, but showcasing the local history as well. This year the brand new entrance to House of Shock will pay homage to the infamous LeBeau Mansion – the Old Arabi plantation home that burnt to the ground in 2013

"The Bordello of Freaks is an all new attraction in the style of old carny freak exhibitions with the patented House of Shock twist. Laff in the Dark is an all-out 3D clown assault: a nod to old school fun houses, specifically the Pontchartrain Beach Fun House of the same name. Clown-a-phobiacs beware, as Laff in the Dark has more scares per square foot than any other event of its kind."
Staying true to form, they're sticking to the roots of the area with both of these too. Though, I really hope they change things up an turn that whole 3D clown house idea into something totally batshit crazy. I'm not a fan of them, and a little disappointed to see them taking that road, but if the Shock twist can be put on it in enough ways, maybe I'll let it slide....maybe.

The Bordello of Freaks sounds like a typical Saturday night around here, so I'm down with that and it does play into the whole "shore" aspect of things with Laff in the Dark. So, the two combined should play off each other fairly well.

There ya have it, all the new and improved coming to this year's House of Shock: Resurrection. This year's show kicks off on Friday, October 2nd and runs select nights thru October 31st. Tickets run between $25 and $30 depending on what night you go too.

You can check out all the info for yourself over on the official House of Shock website and as always, keep it here for the latest news, reviews, and more from the insanity of the Haunted Attraction world!
