[Haunts] Three All New Attractions Ready to Make You Scream at Denver's 13th Floor

Well, this one's a little last minute, but Denver's 13th Floor has three all new attractions coming for the 2015 season. When's that start? Tomorrow! Yep, the madness is back starting on September 18th, and they've got a ton of it coming for the 2015 season.

I love when haunts do this, total overhauls are not only crazy ambitious but it also shows that the creative team behind them isn't afraid to shake things up to give a better show. And, from the looks of it that's just what the folks in Denver have done.

So, since time is of the essence here, let's get down to just what new things are lurking within the confines of the 13th Floor this year. First up? Take a little time to howl at the moon...or don't, running might be a good option here too!

"Beware of the werewolves and vampires running loose in a cemetery on a distant hill overlooking the imaginary town of Blackmoor. The cemetery is filled with crumbling, cavernous crypts and tombs, and a century-old curse allowing the creatures of the night to roam freely and feed in the moonlight. On the eve of this full “Feral Moon,” werewolves will once again ravage the town of Blackmoor."

Werewolves are always fun and it looks like they've got a pretty interesting take on things here, and most importantly are telling a story throughout the attraction. Seriously, that's the one thing I love and it really helps with the immersion levels of things. I can't stress that enough when the haunt that we visit around here. So, I'm really happy to see this going on at 13th Floor!

Next up? Time for a little stroll underground and amongst the undead that live there. Sounds like a great night out, doesn't it?

"Many levels beneath the research facility, you will find many creatures and beasts from past experiments: some failed, some mutated and some that have simply gone awry. The experiments dwelling below are growing restless. Despite all knowledge gained while conducting their research, the scientists have forgotten one important detail...you cannot simply kill the Undead."
Okay, I take that back. It doesn't sound like a good time...at all. Why are you even walking around this place? I mean seriously, you've made some bad life choices to be there.

Anyway, it's kinda cool to see the mutant thing happening here on top of the zombies. Zombies are great and all, but adding in another layer on top of that is never a bad idea to up the game some. Overall though, it's zombies and mutants and crazy medical stuff. It'll be interesting to hear how people like it and how it translates.

And, finally, we get to the last new attraction for this year's 13th Floor!

"Tour the abandoned Hallow House, featuring Mr. Heykids, the “Undead Clown” at the 13th Floor Haunted House. Obsessed with creating the ultimate Halloween spectacle, Mr. Heykids would don his clown costume and face paint, inviting the passing children to tour the infamous Hallow House.
That was until people began to go missing on Halloween and the town outlawed trick or treating, forcing Mr. Heykids to close the Hallow House forever. They say you can still hear the laughs of the clowns and the screams of children echoing from inside."
Wow, that's a lot of stuff to take in there and once again, tons of story! This one sounds like it's a bit of a crazy acid trip and why is there a clown doing all this? I have no idea but it sounds like it's gonna be one helluva trip and I really don't think anyone should ever trust a clown named Mr. Heykids. Who does that?! That just screams, run the hell away.

Overall, sounds like a great show that they've got lined up. We've never actually been to one of the 13th Floor attractions on Haunt Tour, but hopefully in the future we'll be able to travel out West to check them out!

The 13th Floor opens September 18th and runs Friday and Saturdays mostly for the rest of the month and then nearly every day in October. That's not all though, they'll be open the first couple of weekends in November, and the final two nights on the 13th and 14th, will be a Lights Out event!
