[Cons]/3 Days Until Tekkoshocon X-2

Yep, that's right...nearly the entire Kitsuneverse crew will be attending Tekkoshocon X-2, at the David Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, in just 3 days. CK, +Kyle Dunn and myself will be making the trip out along with some friends of ours from the area.

We're looking forward to bring everyone coverage of this event due to a few reasons. For one, it's our "home con" as it were and also because we'll have a chance to interview musical guests such as JRock bands CANTOY and Dazzle Vision and JPop star Chii Sakurabi as well. Definitely something new for us but we're hoping that it's something everyone will be able to enjoy as we expand our coverage a bit.

In addition to that, we'll also be getting the chance to chat with some truly great VA's and production members from various anime and live action shows that span the past 30 years. We're especially looking forward to sitting down with Cristina Vee (Skullgirls, K-On!, Madoka Magica, Squid Girl, Rozen Maiden, Tweeny Witches) Chris Cason (Dragonball, Dragonball Z, Soul Eater, Fullmetal Alchemist) Tommy Yune (Robotech) and Tony Oliver (Bleach, Lucky Star, Power Rangers, Chobits, Lupin the 3rd)

Of course we'll also be covering the endless amounts of amazing cosplay in both the hallway competitions and masquerade as well as everything else that we run across during our wandering. All that along with coverage of the music side of Tekko as well!

That said, since the music end of things is a bit new to us, here's a run down of who will be performing this year and a little rundown on them...

While I did cover just who Dazzle Vision and CANTOY are in a previous post,
here's a bit about JPop star Chii Sakurabi who was announced after that from the Tekkoshocon website:

Chii Sakurabi is a breakout J-POP singer and recording artist from Tokyo, Japan. Chii originally Mirage, which includes a range of musical styles from dynamic electropop to soaring ballads and contains a mixture of English and Japanese lyrics and has performed live as an idol throughout Tokyo. In late 2010 Chii moved to the U.S. to expand her music internationally.  In late 2011 Chii released her first full-length album

Chii has performed live throughout various anime and pop culture conventions in such countries as the United States, France, Mexico, and Japan.  Chii's live concerts are known for their high-energy, as well as Chii's angelic voice, kawaii dances, and lolita fashion.  Tekkoshocon will be Chii's first appearance in Pittsburgh and her concerts will feature her original J-POP music expressed through a visual story of her fantasy world!

And here's her welcome video for Tekko X-2!

Now for the welcomes from Dazzle Vision and CANTOY once more...
