That said, they seem to be aiming to be a "one stop" location showing things from both Crunchyroll and Funimation, amongst others. At least that's what Daisuki President and CEO Kunihiko Shibata has stated and has been quoted saying that they do not intend to steal any licenses away from those sites either, rather their aim is to work with them.
In addition to this they are listing several anime studios as partners/sponsors as well. The ones they list prominently on their website are; Aniplex, Sunrise, Toei Animation, TMS and NAS. What this means for other sites, still a mystery at this point.
Curious what they have? Well, it just launched today and they don't really have much a line up but if you're curious, here's the run down of launch titles:
- Lupin III: Part II
- Mobile Suit Z Gundam
- Mobile Suit Gundam Seed
- The Prince of Tennis: The National Tournament
- Puella Magi Madoka Magica
- Sword Art Online
