[Haunts]/Hostile Hostel Debuts at Conneaut Lake!

Entrance to the new Hostile Hostel!
Alright, this one isn't a typical haunt as it's already open and seems to be something that Conneaut Lake is going to be doing year round. So, maybe we'll classify this one as a "Walk-through Dark Ride" for now until something better comes along that makes sense.

Either way, it's definitely a unique attraction for an amusement/theme park to have it does rely on live actors. Though, the fact that Hostile Hostel is only open on Saturdays and Sundays from 5pm-9pm is probably due to that as well.

One of the interesting things about this one is that it's taking up space in part of the former funhouse building in the park. Definitely pretty cool to see them reusing and updating an old part of the park that was likely in need of it. The entire project was built mostly by volunteers and Lusid Media who is in hopes to get a show about the building of the attraction aired on The Travel Channel in the near future.

Now as far as the attraction itself, I can't say much more about it to be honest. The only thing we do know is that it isn't covered by ride bands and costs $3 a person to go through. Which, isn't really that bad when you think about it. That's about it though, we haven't been up to the park yet since it's grand opening on August 3rd. All we do know is that it went off fairly big with the crowd that was there Saturday night and reactions to it all seemed to be pretty positive in nature.

+Carrie H.C. and I do plan to be up at the park in the near future, but I'm not sure if we'll actually be there when this is open. If it is, you can expect a full report on it from myself here and also from InSanity lurks Inside as well! If isn't, we'll at least do our best to get as many pictures of the attraction as possible!
