[HHN23] The Walking Dead: The Undead Streets at Universal Orlando's Halloween Horror Nights

Well, now that the official Halloween Horror Night's Orlando site is live, we can dive into some more details about what's really going down. Sure, I've already covered all of the mazes and a slight overview of the scare-zones getting The Walking Dead treatment in the mega post the other day, here's a bit more of the nitty gritty.

As we know, every single scare-zone around the park will be dedicated to The Walking Dead, but it's not all going to be the same.

Oh no, they're pulling stuff from all three of the previous seasons to flesh out this nightmarish post zombie-apocalypse world for all of us to venture into. So, what's on tap? Here's a little run down from Universal...

The Fall of Atlanta

The smell of death is in the air as you make your way past an iconic tank, sandbag barriers, and decayed rotting corpses on your journey through this decimated city. But be warned—the city’s not empty.

The Farm

Something’s burning and it’s not a Sunday roast. Gasoline fumes ignite your senses as you encounter the smoldering remains of a singed country farm. See and smell the putrid barn, the red tractor, and more as you learn what’s causing that horrifying stench.

Woodlands

Tread carefully through these woods, as you never know who you might encounter. Lurking deep in the hidden depths are unforgettable scenes and characters from Seasons 1, 2 and 3.

So far so good, but there's a lot more coming...and I can't wait to see how they do the woods, though I suspect I have a feeling I know where that's going to end up within the park...

Survivor's Camp

There’s no one telling ghost stories at this derelict campsite, but there are plenty of undead. Will you dare to go closer to the eerily abandoned RV? Keep your wits about you or you might become a ghost story yourself.

Clear

Turn around and live—proceed and face your fate. Stick together as you head down this street, because the spiked barriers are there for a reason. If you refuse to heed the spray-painted warnings, you’re in for a terrifying walk that will feel like an eternity.

So there ya have it. Five unique scare zones based on one single show. I'm still not sure I agree with the entire outside area being done to just The Walking Dead, but it sounds like they are trying to vary it up as much as they possibly can with this one and I'm looking forward to seeing if they pull it off. +Carrie H.C. and I will be there around the end of September to see it first hand!
