[HHN]/Hollywood Unleashes Black Sabbath 3-D Maze!

Okay, wow. I really didn't see this one coming at all, but there ya have it. Black Sabbath is coming to Universal Studios Hollywood for HHN this year. Surprised that it's Sabbath? Yes. Though, I'm not really surprised that it's music inspired at all. In the past they've done an Alice Cooper house (two of them so far) and Rob Zombie as well.

So, the addition of Black Sabbath not only makes sense but almost necessary when you factor in the previous history.

That said, I'm still pretty shocked since the clues leading up to this one were definitely out there and I'm not sure how the "Heads. Will. Roll." thing fits into things or the idea of time travel, but it's a 3-D house and I guess anything is possible. At least it's a 3-D house that's not clowns!

At least we know where the hand came from at least. That really was bugging me to no end...so now let's all board the crazy train and see where Ozzy takes us, eh? According to the creative director of Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Hollywood, John Murdy, the inspiration for this partnership of evil came about due to the following:
"Aside from being the band that pretty much invented heavy metal, Sabbath's music has always been a warning to the world...a warning on the dangers of the occult, addiction, the horrors of war and nuclear apocalypse, this dark subject matter inspired the maze. This is an original maze based on those subjects, Chris and I drew our inspiration for each scene from the band's lyrics...so what will see?"
He continued to spill the beans a bit and here's a little more about what we can expect once inside the walls of this demented nightmare world:
"I mentioned 4 time periods...you'll journey through a Gothic Church, Victorian madhouses, WWI trenches and the Nevada proving grounds...What's the Nevada proving grounds? That's where the government tested nuclear bombs in the 1950's...so yeah, we're gonna nuke your ass! LOL", seems a bit happy about that last bit, eh?
"What won't you see? Characters designed to look like the band. All the characters in the maze are designed around the songs/themes..."
This is a first for HHN Hollywood as they never really have taken a band's ideas and themes and turned them into a maze before. In the past it was always Alice Cooper and Rob Zombie having a lot of input into the world's of terror that they've brought with them and not so much based on the music persay. Anyways, let's get on with things, shall we?

As always, we'll have more on this as the story continues to break and more information is released to everyone. Until then, keep it tuned here for updates to this post!
