The announcement came at this weekend's Dengeki Game Festival from the newly formed animation studio, Shuka. While they didn't go into too much detail about the new TV anime, at least everyone knows that it's coming. So, at least that's something, right?
Fans of the show should find solace in the fact that many of the key folks involved with the original series are returning as well. Director Takahiro Omori (Baccano!, Durarara!!) will be returning as well as Noboru Takagi (Baccano!, Durarara!!) returning to scripting duties, and Makoto Yoshimori (Baccano!, Durarara!!) will be in charge of music composition. Takaharu Kishida (Baccano!, Durarara!!) will be adapting the character designs from novel illustrator Suzuhito Yasuda's original illustrations while Studio Shuka will be handling the production.
So, there ya have it, everything that's known about the new series. Hopefully more info will come out soon and a date for when we can expect it!
