[Anime] New Sailor Moon Musical Planned for Summer

Well, last year might have been the actual 20th anniversary of Sailor Moon, but it seems like the 20th Anniversary website is still kicking things around. This time they've announced that a second live action musical is in the works and set to hit the stage this summer.

Conveniently that dovetails with the new series pretty well, especially since it's based on material close to the beginning of the series. All signs point to this one being similar in plot to Sailor Moon R, which aired way back  1993.

Interesting to go with that one, but at least it's close to the beginning of things, right?

At this time not much else is known about the show or it's cast other than it's been announced, so not much else to say here other than it will be a thing. All we do know is that the cast and more details will be announced in an upcoming Kodansha's Nakayoshi magazine and on the franchise's 20th anniversary website. When that is, that's anyone's guess. Probably this month though, at least one could hope.
