[Cons] Halloween in May? It must be National Haunters Convention

Who says that Halloween can't happen in May? Not the folks behind the annual Halloween Show and National Haunters Convention, that's for sure! Your worst nightmares and some of the greatest minds behind them will be invading the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center from May 2nd thru May 4th. They'll be showcasing tons of insane creations for everything from professional haunts to your own home haunt or Halloween party.

In addition to that there's also the Halloween University, offering up tons of seminars and how to classes on everything from designing your own home haunt, creating your own haunted history tour to all manner of prop making and other helpful tips for the DIY crowd. If you're serious about Halloween, this is stuff for you, even if it's just to impress the neighbors and freak their kids out. Nothing wrong with that either!

Classes aren't your thing? Well, never fear, there's always checking out the vendors and public entertainment on the show floor. Best part is that it's only $15 and kids 12 and under get in for free. However, there could be some really freaky stuff floating about, so keep that in mind when you bring your kids and take in mind what they can and can't handle.

But wait, there's more! What? You thought that it was just classes and shopping, oh you poor soul. There's also the Miss Halloween contest, the Saturday Night Masquerade, featuring an Egyptian them for this year, as well as the Friday Night Haunt Tour that's headed to two haunts in Maryland; Kim's Krypt and Field of Screams Maryland.

The Masquerade and Haunt Tours are separate ticketed events, like the seminar and classes. For more info on prices for all that, head on over to the official Halloween Show/NHC website.

As of right now it's looking like myself and +Carrie H.C. will be in attendance to cover the insanity that takes place over the weekend!
