[Haunts] The Evil Within and Wolf Creek 2 Return for Movie World Australia's Fright Nights

The rest of this year's maze line up for Fright Nights at Warner Brothers Movie World in Australia has been announced. Both attractions are returning from last year, and join Friday the 13th and Wyrmwood to fill out the full slate of mazes for this year's event.

There's definitely some mixed reactions on this one from fans, but it is the nature of the beast some times with these kinds of events. Yes, they could develop new concepts and bring in new IPs or original ideas, but sometimes it's just not as easy as that. All sorts of things can get in the way. That said, I wish it happened more in the world of theme park haunts, but I also accept that it won't happen at all of them.

Now then, let's dive into the details!

First up, Wolf Creek 2

"Fright Nights most popular maze returns in 2015. Are you brave enough to strap on the backpack and take on Mick Taylor again as you Live the terror of the cult movie Wolf Creek 2 in the first ever maze to be based on an Australian horror film."

Hard to argue against popularity and if that's what this is, more power to 'em. Sometimes an encore with some updates is just what's needed.

Admittedly, it's been a bit of time since I've seen the Wolf Creek movies, but I remember enjoying them and see how they can translate into a more interactive experience like this. The one thing I do remember is that there was a lot of wide open spaces, but there really should be enough material that was in a more closed off area to work as a maze. I mean, not like the concept would work at all outside as a scare zone or anything.

Next up, the fourth and final maze for this year's Fright Nights; The Evil Within.

"Just because you’ve played the game doesn’t mean you will survive the maze!

Live the Terror of Detective Sebastian Castellanose’s chilling decent into evil as you face off against the butcher and Ruvik in the maze based on the The Evil Within video game."

Ah, video game tie ins. This is one concept you don't see very often at all. It's been done in the past with a few others, but those all had movie tie ins. This one? Not so much. Since it's a returning maze for 2015, those who went last year should remember things pretty well. If you hadn't been, the game is a mind bending survival horror experience that should work out pretty good like this, most horror games would really.

Still quite a bit more to come out of this year's Fright Nights at Movie World Australia so stay tuned and of course keep an eye out for news, reviews and the rest of the insanity from this year's Haunt Tour!
