[Haunts]/New ScareZone and Maze for Worlds of Fun!

Looks like this year's Halloween Haunt at World's of Fun is going to be getting a couple of new additions in the form of a maze and scare zone. Have to say that it's good to see some love going to one of the smaller Cedar Fair parks out there. Not only are they getting a few new attractions but they also have three levels of Fright Lane for this year as well; Fright Lane, Fright Lane+ and Fright Lane Max.

So, let's take a look at what's new. First up? The new maze for 2013:

The Chamber of Horrors Wax Museum has reopened, and for this limited time, Miss Lizzie invites you to  examine her collection of some of the most feared villains, murderers, criminals and miscreants imaginable. So lifelike, so believable, so haunting, you might even think they're alive.

Ah, the good old wax museum theme. Have to say, this is one that's not done very often out there these days and I'm glad that it's getting some attention. Not sure why this theme has fallen by the wayside, but maybe this will signal a comeback a little, wouldn't mind that at all.

Now onto the new scare zone...

Haunters won’t want to miss INFERNO, our hottest hangout for after dark entertainment. Be amazed by the steaming sights and sounds of a wide range of oddities, acts, and obscurities. Not advised for the faint of heart nor the young at heart.

Sounds like we have a bit of a bizarre side-show/freak-show kind of event happening here, but I'm guessing that this one goes into the realm of the extreme somehow. Always did enjoy these kinds of areas in parks since there's always so much variety in them. Hopefully they keep up that tradition this one!

Another interesting thing to note that this event is also getting the "Skeleton Key" feature, just announced at Scare LA during the Knott's Scary Farm panel, as well. This will allow for guests to "unlock" secret rooms in certain mazes and other interesting goodies. I'm starting to wonder if this is something that's going to be used at all Cedar Fair parks now....it would be a bit odd if it was only at Knott's Berry Farm and Worlds of Fun while skipping the larger parks like Kings Island, Dorney and Kings Dominion.

You can find more information about Worlds of Fun and their Halloween Haunt on their official website.
