[HOS] Fear is Spreading at Busch Gardens Williamsburg for Howl-O-Scream

This past week, +Carrie H.C. and I were at Busch Gardens Williamsburg and we noticed a few things going on in preparation for this year's Howl-O-Scream. While it's not much, there is quite a bit of activity going on back stage and more and more continues to show up inside the park as each day passes.

There's plenty of activity going on for Port of Skull and Cut Throat Cove going on that it's hard to hide anymore if you know where to look. Top that off with everything going on outside of the Festhaus and in Ireland and you've got a recipe for some sneak peeks of what's to come for this year's event!

I've already written about what's new and what's returning for this year's event, so not much sense to be getting into that just right now. (Can also check out our Howl-O-Scream Mega Post too!)Working on a larger post with lots more details that should be done pretty soon I hope. In the mean time, here's some pictures of what we saw this past weekend to tide ya over!

One of the first things that we noticed was that iconic "eye flowers" were being worked on at the Bella Casa gift shop in San Marco. Along with this was the appearance of the hand painted black roses out in the shop as well. Both definite signs that Howl-O-Scream is just around the corner.

While none of them were for sale, it's only a matter of time before these become ready and are out there for anyone that's wants to snap them up!

So, let's get on with the theming and other things that are easily (and not so) seen throughout the park as of...well this past Saturday. First up? Pirates!

It's definitely the most noticeable change that's been made to the park as far as preparations go for this year's event and not exactly uncalculated either. We heard from a few folks on staff that it was partly to drum up some interest and also because it just looked really damn cool. The bridge over the Rhine River from San Marco to Germany has been decorated for quite some time now and no doubt, it's got some people definitely thinking about HOS for this year...

That's not all though! If you know where to look while you're on the train from Festa Station on the way to New Canada, you can see the signs of the new Cut Throat Cove maze being worked on...and it looks like they're doing a pretty bang up job with the scenery so far...

Definitely looks like it's going to be interesting and not only are attendees looking forward to this new addition, but also park employees as well. It's been a long time since any sort of pirate themed anything was in the park, but many believe that it was one of the best shows that Howl-O-Scream has ever had. So, in addition to the other stuff they're adding that's pirate themed, this looks to be a winner for everyone!

What about the rest of the park? Got ya covered there too...from the Inoculation Station stage in Ireland to the Open Casket bar and even some work being done on Root of All Evil as well below!
