[Cons] Countdown to Ohayocon 14 - Two More Days!

Well, it's only a few days until Ohayocon 14 kicks off and while we're still a little up in the air about us being there to cover it, figured that I'd give the full run down for ya. We've covered Ohayocon since 2011 and have always had a blast, for a look back can check out previous coverage in the Con Reviews section.

It's been a long time since we've been to a convention and I couldn't think of a better one to start the year off with!

For three days the Columbus Convention Center and the surrounding area is overrun with every kind of fan imaginable. As most know, this is one   event that has grown to be one of the largest conventions of it's kind in North America year in and year out.

Known for some truly incredible cosplay and usually an insane amount of guests, this is one event that many wouldn't miss for the world. If you're curious about how last year's event went, check out our review from last year. If you're new to things, or just curious, might give a little more idea of what to expect.

Speaking of guests, this year's list includes; Jerry Jewell, J. Michael Tatum, Brittney Karbowski, Tia Ballard, Chris Ayres and Greg Ayres, Michele Knotz, Justin Cook, Jessica Calvello, Brad Swaile, Illich Auyapah Guardiola, Rikki Simons,Tavisha Wolfgarth-Simons, Vic Mignogna, Lisa Ortiz, Ian Sinclair, Richard Horvitz, Mike McFarland, and Studio Capsule just to name a few.

There's bound to be a few in there that will spike everyone's interest. For me? It's always great to see Lisa Ortiz, the one and only Lina Inverse, at any event as well as some others who haven't been in the area for a while. Also looking forward a ton of other events I can't even begin to list.

Line for the Rave in 2012!
There's so much going on that it's hard to take in at times, between thousands of awesome cosplayers, hundreds of panels, a really awesome dealers room, an amazing masquerade and of course the rave.

Seriously, it's probably one of the biggest draws of the weekend too. I recall a few times in the past that people were waiting for what seemed like forever due to the insanely long lines to just get into the space. Since then it's moved into a larger ballroom, but it never seems to be enough for the attendees!

Sadly, pre-reg is long over for this one, but if you're in the area and still looking to brave the always crazy weather that seems to happen around Columbus this time of year, full weekend badges are $60 at the door. I would advise getting there early though as the registration line can get huge, they do their best to make it quick but you can still wait a long while.

We'll be bringing all the coverage that we can while +Carrie H.C., +Alexandra F and myself are there to share our experience through tons of cosplay photos, video and tons more. This time we're packing a little extra equipment in order to get it all to you while there and even more once it's all over.

You'll be able to follow along live with us on Twitter @KitsuneHazard, Tumblr and of course Google+ for all the latest updates, news and other insanity as it happens. Or if you must, follow us on Facebook as well!
