[Haunts] Dates for Universal Orlando's Halloween Horror Nights 24 Announced!

That's right, Universal Orlando isn't wasting any time starting up the hype for this year's Halloween Horror Nights, today they've announced the dates for the annual mega haunt spectacular. From September 19th thru November 1st, the park will once again play host to your worst nightmares.

It's a full schedule of 28 nights, featuring two live shows, 8 haunts and tons of random encounters throughout the park that every horror fan needs to visit at least once in their lives, probably more as you'll become hooked.

The dates for this year's event are:
  • September 19, 20, 25, 26, 27 and 28
  • October 2, 3, 4, 5, 9, 10, 11, 12, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 29, 30 and 31
  • November 1
That's a pretty brutal schedule, but I'm sure the folks at Universal Orlando will be able to handle it and adding a few more nights is never a bad thing in the end. Hopefully it will disperse the crowds a little, but I'm thinking it's still going to be a crazy on Friday and Saturday nights as always.

One of the more interesting things about all this is that they're going with 8 houses again, last year was the first time I remember them doing such and it's nice to see them increase the value of the ticket. Which, if last year's $99 price tag is any indication, is definitely needed. Let's just hope that they get away from the idea of theming all the scare zones the same like last year, you can see what we thought of that idea in our review of HHN 23 here. Maybe this will give them a chance to bring in more original houses as well, I'm not holding my breath on that, but it would be nice.

The two shows thing? Well, that's obviously Bill & Ted's plus another, whether that's the Rocky Horror Tribute again or Beetlejuice remains to be seen, but I'd bet on either of those two. I could see Rocky coming back as it went over well with folks last year. Guess we'll have to see on that one.

No other details are known about what the themes for this year's event or mazes will be, but details will start to come out shortly I'm sure. Universal Hollywood's HHN Creative Director, John Murdy, has already been teasing out clues to the first three mazes for their event this year, so I'm sure that Universal Orlando won't be too far behind.

The Halloween Horror Nights Orlando website has been changed over and I'm sure will be adding more details about tickets and the like.
