[Anime] Strike Witches OVA Release Date Announced!

This past Friday, June 6th, the official Strike Witches website updated with a ton of info regarding the upcoming Strike Witches OVA, Operation Victory Arrow. The biggest news of all? The release date and title of the first episode. Strike Witches: Operation Victory Arrow: Vol. 1 Trond no Raimei (Saint Trond's Thunder) will be released in Japanese theaters on Sept 20th. 

Trond no Raimei is the first 30min installment out of three that will be coming out over the next year and takes place directly after "Operation Mars" that concluded the second TV series. The trilogy will look at the lives of the 501st members as they returned home and leading up to the events of the Strike Witches movie.

The OVA trilogy will also be reuniting the entire cast and crew, so no worries about anything weird going on in that department either. +Carrie H.C. and I are definitely looking forward to this one and it will be very interesting to see just what our favorite witches got up to between the the end of season two and the movies. Maybe we'll even see a few new witches introduced as well, would be nice, right?
