[Japan] Ultimate Fort 2 set to Melt Minds on July 25th at Fuji Q Highland

Well now, this is a bit of a surprise. It would seem that the insane creators of the first Ultimate Fort at Fuji Q Highland weren't satisified with the original. After three years, they've revamped the place to make it likely even more impossible. How, I'm not sure as the success rate of the original was a staggeringly low 2 out of hundreds of thousands of attempts. Yes, you read that right, 2 successful attempts. That's it.

So, what to do with all the people who got "stuck" inside the madness of the original? The only logical thing, of course. Instead of trying to escape the fort, you'll now be infiltrating it to save them! At least that's the spin on the all new version of the ultimate puzzle nightmare.

Once again, Ultimate Fort 2 will have three stages that one will have to conquer in order to escape the madness and free those trapped inside. Oh, yeah, that 30 minute time limit is back to taunt you as well. Thought you were going to get off easy on that one, huh? Wrong.

So, just what are the stages? Well, thanks to a poorly translated press release, I have some of the details of them for ya!

The first stage features surveillance cameras and all sorts of other madness that, if you're caught in their field of view? You're out. Moving on to stage two, you get to run into some kind of patrol robot that has been deployed the area. I'm not 100% sure what's going on with this one but it seems like it's there to block your way in a maze like environment. Sounds a little crazy. Oh yeah, those cameras from stage one? They're still there too.

Then, finally, the third and final stage, "secret mission". This area, for those who make it this far, will be a true test.

Featuring laser beam grids, cameras, robots and who knows what else, it's definitely not going to be an easy time to figure out the path through this one. Once through? You'll get to collapse the fortress, save those trapped and escape once again knowing that you've accomplished a job well done. I'm sure some kind of prize for your glorious victory will await too.
