Well, another weekend down, and another looming really quickly! This past weekend, we had a bit of a snag due to the weather. That's one of those things that just pops up on us and really throws into a tizzy as far as our plans go.
We had originally planned to do a few outdoor events, haunted trails and the like, over October 2nd thru 4th. However, Friday night was a complete no go. Sure, a few of them were open still, but given how our schedule was, we couldn't just flip things around. Sometimes we just can't, so with Friday night down, we had to refigure things for Saturday and Sunday. And, to be honest, we were just tired after that, so Saturday went out the window too.
However, the weekend wasn't a total loss, I did make it out to check out West Deer Nightmare, which I had never been to before! It was...an experience, to say the least. I'm not really going to go into more on that, but it wasn't what I expected. You'll just have to read the review when it comes out later today on that one.
Speaking of reviews, the video updates have been a little sparse the past week or so as well. I apologize for that and hope to have some things up this weekend. Real life issues got in the way and cut down on my time to actually work on those, I will get them up here soon, I promise.
Also, in all the chaos, we've had to drop a haunt from the tour this year. I won't say which, but it's a little disappointing to say the least. We don't make any money on this project, and when a place that we have been to in the past turns us down, it's a sad day around here. Maybe we'll still get there, but it's looking that likely won't happen due to the time crunch we face. So, a little down on that one, but that just means another slot has opened up for another haunt out there!
Speaking of that, BIG weekened planned and we're gonna kick it off tonight! Yep, that's right...it's the time of year for Thursday haunts, maybe even Wednesday haunts! Never know, but we're gonna kick things into high gear and hit as many as we can down the stretch leading up to Halloween night....and beyond.
