[Haunts]/The Evil Dead Comes to Movie World Australia

Seems that while Universal's Halloween Horror Nights has the Evil Dead locked up for this year in the US, it's not quite the case elsewhere. Warner Bros Movie World in Australia just gave a bit of a clue to their first maze announcement for this year's Fright Nights.

They do seem to want to get to 100 followers on Twitter (@FrightNightsAU) before they make the full announcement but the first hint, released about an hour ago, was...well, see for yourself. 

Have to say, it's not much of a "clue" as it's pretty much a dead giveaway.

That said, there's not a lot known about just what they'll be doing with this one yet as there's no "official announcement" as of yet, but I think the image below pretty much says it all. It's eerily similar to a wallpaper that's been out there for quite a long time now...

Call me crazy, but if that's not Evil Dead, then I don't know what is and they might want to be a little more tricky with their PR stuff as they go from here. Sure, they're new to the Twitter game and apparently with this kinda stuff, but they could learn a few things from Halloween Horror Nights or Howl-O-Scream on this one.

Either way, it's pretty interesting to see yet another huge IP end up in a large theme park overseas and this one definitely should get the blood pumping for those who hit up this year's Fright Nights.

Sure, I've never been to Movie World, but I can't see them doing a poor job with a Halloween event. Securing the rights to this definitely shows me at least that they've got something interesting going for them. At the very least it shows they're trying, right?

Once there is an official announcement about this and some more details I'll be sure to update things here as soon as it comes out!
