[Site Update] Happy Valentine's Day Kiddies!

Hard to believe that we're already a month and a half into 2014, especially with the insane winter many of us have been having out there. Seriously, can it just be spring already? I'm tired of the snow and ice.

Speaking of the weather, that's been a issue with things around here. Usually by this point we'd already have covered one convention and should be on our way to another. However, weather screwed up our Ohayocon plans just a couple of weeks ago and the insanity of the past 24 hours has put a major wrench in our Katsucon coverage plans as well. Never fear, we do have a couple of people who are there so we'll see what can dig up as far as covering things go like last time.

Now, as many of ya out there may have realized by the date, or the post title, or the random arrival of gifts and other things at your door, today is Valentine's Day. Personally, this isn't one of those things that myself and +Carrie celebrate around here with too much zest or flair. Neither of us really felt the need for a "special day" to show you love someone, everyday should be that day, right? Though, to be honest, this year we are doing something for Valentine's Day.

What is it you ask? Well, Carrie and I will be heading to Castle Blood in Monessen, PA for their Love and Death 3 Valentine's Day show tomorrow night with +Alex along for the ride. Looking forward to it since there's dinner and a masquerade afterwards too, haunts plus dinner and fancy dress? Yes please! On a side note, for all you horror fans out there, check out the Valentine's Day Haunt Mega Post for that chance to scare the crap out of our loved one or friends this weekend. What's more romantic than your significant other clinging to you for dear life, right? I can't think of anything better.

Other than that, there's lots of things coming down the pipeline as always around here. In just a few weeks we'll be hitting the road once again for a trip to Southern California on an InSanity lurks Inside theme park trip, which should be filled with tons of weirdness (possibly us getting kicked out of California too), and then after that we'll be back to cover the next convention on our list, Tekko 14 in early April. In the meantime, I'll be doing my best to bring the weird slant on things that I do from all the corners of the stuff we cover, or die trying!

I'm still doing a little layout work too around here, not sure if I like how things are at the moment, but we'll see. I'm never happy with things and how they look for long so don't get too attached to how it all sits right now. Just a word of warning there, hard hats are definitely still required around here for a little while longer!

Stay safe out there kiddies and remember, if you can't keep 'em around forever, at least you can keep their corpse around for a while afterwards, the smell only lingers a little while.
