Based on the manga and light novel series by Sou Sagara, it chronicles the misadventure and chaos that comes from making a wish to a certain stony cat statue. The statue takes something you don't want and gives it to someone that needs it. However, in the case of Yōto Yokodera, getting rid of being able to hide his "pervert tendencies" was probably not his best idea at all. Not all is lost though as Yōto does find out who received his facade, granted it's probably going to mean even more trouble for him than just being labeled as the "Hentai Prince" by the entire school. Thankfully he's not in it alone as Tsukiko had also made a wish to be more adult like and not show her emotions so easily. So, as you can see we've got quite the pair here...no emotions on one hand, no lying or hiding anything on the other. What could possibly go wrong?
So far the production looks good and seems to be keeping fairly close to the source material so far, but as always, only time will tell on that one. Animation wise, I'm liking it so far as well. Not as clean and crisp as some other shows out there but there are a lot of nice touches that come with that. Also, the jokes and writing side of things are pretty on target for this one. I mean, it's hard not to know where the jokes are going to be coming from with a title like that, eh?
So, right now going to keep it in the watch list.
New episodes air every Saturday night (broadcast on Tokyo MX, TVA, MBS, BS11, RKB, TVh, Animax) and of course it's streaming on Crunchyroll by Sunday morning at 9:30.
